The Pharmaceutical Industry is the focus and inspiration of one of Sweco's newest line of separators. The Sweco PharmASep Separator/Dryer allows vacuum drying to occur within the machine eliminating the need for expensive drying equipment.
Sweco's round separator line is widely used throughout the Pharmaceutical Industry. The screening of granular material for use in tablets and capsules poses blinding and dust control problems for pharmaceutical manufacturers. Some applications use double deck Sweco separators which include various mesh screens. The product fraction is typically produced within one-eighth the time of the previous sifting method. Dust problems are also eliminated in most processes.
For those applications where containment is an issue, the Sweco PharmASep allows for safer handling because of its fully contained, highly polished, crevice-free interior design. These CIP/SIP capable units are designed for use in Class 100 Clean Room environments.
