Years ago, large industrial laundries were spending unnecessary funds dealing with two specific issues: 1) because of mop strings and other solid wastes getting into the sewer system, city fines were imposed; and 2) every couple of weeks they would need to pump out the sludge from their settling tanks and pay to have it hauled away.
