Florence, Kentucky - The SWECO Non-Vibrating QuickChange System has cut screen changeover time by 50% in the separation of oversize flakes for Tree Top, the Selah, Washington, apple juice processor.
The SWECO QuickChange NV System uses a set of hand-operated hydraulic cylinders, mechanically isolated from the separator's vibrating components, to lift the separator frame or cover above the screen, allowing easy removal and replacement of the screen.
According to John Fenner, Tree Top's Plant Manager in Selah, "It used to take about 30 minutes to change screens when switching our juice processing from one production process to another, but with the SWECO QuickChange NV screen it only takes 15 minutes. That really cut the down time for product process changes."
The QuickChange NV System fits 30" through 72" diameter separators, comes in one to three-deck systems, and is available in frame- or cover-mounted designs. QuickChange NV Systems feature non-vibrating components that increase the system's durability and extend its life. Retrofit systems are available for all SWECO and competing round separators.
With more than 60 years of separation technology experience, SWECO serves the pharmaceutical, chemical, food, minerals, paper, and many other industries with a complete line of separation, sizing and milling equipment.
