Plastic Separation

The Plastic Industry has presented SWECO with its share of interesting processing challenges. With experience in the vibratory separation area, SWECO has been able to provide our customers with the solutions for which they were searching. The plastics industry includes establishments manufacturing products from plastics resins and from natural, synthetic, or reclaimed rubber, plastic pellets and more. Most of our customers in this industry utilize our standard round separator for its efficiency in removing unwanted material from their process. Another option has recently been introduced, the DC Classifier, for those customers who wish to not only separate the longs and fines from their pellets, but who need to dry and cool the product during the process.

ROUND SEPARATORS - Our traditional round separators are found throughout the plastics industry in various applications, including pre-packaging of extruded plastics. The adjustable motion allows the user to optimize the machine in order to effectively remove not only the fines but also the oversize or longs that are present in the material. GYRATORY SIFTERS - SWECO Gyratory Sifters can be used in the plastic industry for even further higher volume processing. These compact and energy efficient sifters utilize a parallel feed system to enable processing on multiple screen levels without increasing the footprint of the machine.
